Conference launched for the region’s museums, heritage sites and historic houses

A two-day conference, Challenging Times: The world turned upside down, will take place in the East Midlands looking at how museums, historic houses and heritage sites can develop their audiences and manage change.  The conference will take place at the National Civil War Centre in Newark on Wed 26 and Thu 27 April 2017.  The programme includes keynote presentations from:

  • John Orna Ornstein, Director of Museums at the Arts Council
  • Tamalie Newberry, Executive Director, Association for Independent Museums
  • Sharon Heal, Director, Museums Association
  • Jonathan Platt, Head of Heritage Lottery Fund, East Midlands
  • Katie Childs, Policy and Projects Manager, National Museum Directors’ Council

There will also be a range of practical workshop sessions on both days.
