In autumn 2011, the Arts Council published its new approach to Diversity at the Decibel conference in Manchester. 'The Creative Case' invites the arts sector to engage with a new and different approach, building on the case for diversity as culturally productive for artists, audiences and communities. It positions diversity as a way to increase the adaptive resilience of organisations, making them less vulnerable to unexpected change.
The Creative Case is based upon the simple observation that diversity, in the widest sense, is an integral part of the artistic process. From Introduction to “The Creative Case”
This FREE seminar is the latest in Mainstream’s series of Creative Conversations, and will be of interest to any artist, practitioner, manager, teacher or service provider working in or engaging with diverse arts.
