East Midlands Museums, Libraries & Archives Council

 

The creation of the East Midlands Museums, Archives and Libraries Council (EMMLAC) has come a step closer with the first meetings of its Shadow Board. The seven-strong Board will put in place what needs to be done for the new agency to begin its work on 1 April 2002.

The Shadow Board is chaired by Elizabeth Dalkeith of Boughton House in Northamptonshire, who is also chairman of the Heritage Education Trust, a trustee of the British Museum, and a past trustee of the National Museums of Scotland.
